‘THINK IN PICTURES’ Curated by:
The Animators of Paint and Friends
32 Orchard Street, New York, NY 10075
AMELCHENKO is pleased to announce the upcoming group exhibition ‘THINK IN PICTURES’ on view to the public on Wednesday, May 15th through June 21, 2019.
‘THINK IN PICTURES’ was inspired by the work of the late Norbert Fleischer, Hamburg based painter, from which the show derived its name. The exhibition finds its origins in conversations between a group of artists who were inspired to showcase a collaborative study in pictorial fragmentation - that which melds representation and abstraction by incorporating surface structure strategies of pastiche and collage. ‘THINK IN PICTURES’ is a diverse collective of international artists, some of whom have long- standing exhibition histories in major galleries and museums.
Works by Donald Baechler, Kevin Baker, Tarra Bandet, Sara Berman, Sam Bornstein, André Butzer, Daniel Davidson, Matt Dillon, Sante D’Orazio, Dusty Studio, Marion Fink, Norbert Fleischer, Torben Giehler, Karl H. Hödicke, Andy Hope 1930, Marcel Hüeppauff, Paula Kamps, Miranda Laprelle, Nemo Librizzi, Kunle Martins, Robert Medvedz, Daniel Mendel-Black, Malcom Morley, John Newsom, Jason Newsted, Jack Pierson, Dash Snow, Andreas Schmitten, Sarah Sweeney, Jacques Villeglé, Kosmo Vinyl, Julia von Eichel, Ouattara Watts, Eric Wiley, Wendy White and Josef Zekoff.
